Fisker has provided a new preview of the Ronin convertible EV, boasting a range of 600 miles, and CEO Henrik Fisker announced that the full unveiling will take place on August 3rd through an Instagram post. Similar to the original Fisker Karma, this sleek sedan will be a low and stylish four-door "super GT" that will join the Ocean SUV and future Pear EV in Fisker's lineup. Henrik Fisker described the Ronin as a high-performance electric vehicle with impressive speed, spacious seating for five people, and exceptional long-distance capabilities. Although the price has not been disclosed yet, Fisker has previously committed to keeping it below $200,000. While specific specifications like power are yet to be revealed, the Ronin is on track for its scheduled August 2023 debut, as announced last year.
In terms of the Ocean EV, Fisker has faced some delays in deliveries. The company had announced the commencement of production in December 2022, with plans to manufacture 300 Ocean EVs in Q1 2023, scaling up to over 8,000 units in Q2 and 15,000 units in Q3. However, to date, only 22 units have been shipped in the US, and deliveries began only a few weeks ago. The Ocean, produced at Fisker's environmentally friendly factory in Graz, Austria, is priced at $37,500 for the base model and goes up to $69,000 for the high-performance Ocean Extreme, which offers a range of 350 miles and 550 horsepower.
Fisker is also developing a more affordable electric vehicle called the Pear, a four-door model with a starting price of $29,900 before any incentives. Limited information is available about this vehicle, but production is scheduled to begin next year in Lordstown, Ohio, with Foxconn serving as the contract manufacturer. Both Fisker and Foxconn have plans to eventually produce a minimum of 250,000 units per year.
